Who Am I?

I am a 2D and 3D Designer and a graduate of the DesignMorphine program through the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Geodesy with a degree Master of Science degree in Computational and Advanced Design.

My Design Philosophy

My design practice begins with discovery: probing what a subject does, is, and represents, and how it interacts with its environment. I aim to reach the “soul” of a concept and translate it into new forms: an emotion into an object, or a process into space. As both poet and designer, I use poetic devices and visceral expression to reveal abstract and emotional dimensions. Computational design extends this process, granting freedom to explore permutations where art, poetry, and technology converge.

My Design Journey

Rooted in art and poetry, my design journey began at Penn State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts that laid the foundation for a lifelong pursuit of visual expression. My early career in marketing and communications grew into a dynamic design practice during my years at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where I refined both creative and technical skills within an academic environment.

Under the mentorship of a renowned Image Specialist at MIT, I honed my visual communication practice while pursuing design coursework that introduced me to 3D and parametric modeling. These studies sparked a fascination with the relationship between concept and form, how rule-based design can transform abstract ideas into tangible beauty, as seen in the works of Oskar Schlemmer, Yoko Ono, and Coco Chanel, whose influence continues to shape my creative approach.

I deepened this exploration through the DesignMorphine program at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Geodesy in Sofia, Bulgaria, where I worked with tools such as Maya, ZBrush, Blender, Rhino, Houdini, and Grasshopper. My group work was later featured in the Metrotopia Metaverse and ArchAgenda Debates for the Chicago Architecture Biennial (2023).

Today, my practice unites 2D and 3D design, blending intuition, precision, and structure to translate abstract ideas into expressive visual and spatial compositions, while continually advancing both my aesthetic sensibility and technical execution.

My Personal Passions

My passions outside of design include my first loves, writing and poetry, along with art, running (Boston Marathon qualifier), yoga (certified Vinyasa teacher), astrology, lifelong learning, science and history documentaries, gemstones, reading, fashion, and the study of jewelry, as well as finding pockets of stillness within each day. One of my greatest joys is spending time with my furry niece and nephews. My partner, family, and friends are alright, too.
